This project consisted of the expansion of the railroad services for the Trinity
Railway Express including the addition of a new passenger loading platform, (2)
new twin railroad bridges, new double tracks and rail, rail switches, electrical
communications and a large concrete drainage channel.

The new platform was over
500 feet long with new canopies, communications, electrical and water utilities.
The new bridges were over 1,000 feet long and consisted of drilled shaft
foundations, cast-in-place concrete columns and caps and precast beams. These
bridges and the platform were constructed adjacent an active rail line which
carried over 50 trains (passenger and freight) a day. |
